She Takes After Her Brother

Reece has always LOVED corn on the cob. In fact one of grandma's favorite pictures is of Reece eating corn on the cob. Well Clara is no different! She had so much fun trying to eat her corn tonight!

This picture cracks me up!
There's that smile!

Tadpoles

Aaron left for Illinois again today:( We hate when he is gone, but he left a nice note for us on Reece's chalk table...He really is such a great husband and daddy...little things like this sure mean a lot! After supper, Reece, Clara, and I loaded up on the four wheeler and went down to the pond. I have several "favorite" pictures of the barn, but I think this one might be my new favorite...

Our water dogs jumped in the minute we got there....

Reece really wanted to catch some tadpoles, so we brought some jars with us. When we got there, I realized it was gonna be hard to catch them with only a jar. I figured we would need to come back later with a little net, but Reece was determined to catch some. He ended up catching 6 tadpoles with his jar!!! He was so proud!

Maybe we'll have a little frog farm soon! :)

Firsts

Reece had his first t-ball game on Monday! I love this picture of Aaron and Reece. They have the exact same smile! And a little post-game pep-talk...
Clara had her first hair cut today. We didn't really want it too much shorter, but it was getting pretty stringy and scraggly. We thought it would look a little better to have it all evened up.
Here's before:

During...

After:
so cute! It really does look much better and more even. It looked even cuter after her bath!

Can't get enough of that smile!

So cute I can't stand it!

This boy is so excited for his first t-ball game tomorrow! The first thing he said when he woke up this morning was, "Is it Monday?" He's ready! Yes, we realize it is ONLY a t-ball game, but to a five year old it is everything! Before I put him to bed, he laid out his entire uniform, hat, socks, bat, baseball bag...

I have been trying to think of something cute for Clara to wear to his games. I know this is the start of MANY games, and I know she will be his biggest fan! :) So today at wal-mart, I saw this little gray outfit and had an idea...
I sewed some letters and numbers on it and we have the perfect little cheerleader outfit for her! I got some black and white polka dot ribbon to put in her hair!:) Reece was so proud that his little sis would be wearing a shirt with his number and also match his team colors. I made it while she was napping today, and when she woke up, Reece took it in her room and showed it to her.

They will be a cute pair!

Our Lucky Day

This morning we decided to load up and head to the river. When Aaron and Reece were loading up the boat, they found 4 four leaf clovers! How lucky! Reece said there was one for each of us!
Before we headed to the river, Aaron needed to get his tires balanced. So, while we were waiting, we walked to Arby's to eat lunch. Well, it was Clara's lucky day because they were out of white milk, and well, she can't have soda, so she got chocolate milk. Between that and the curly fries, she was in heaven! :)It was Aaron's lucky day because he was the ONLY one who even got a bite, and he caught the only fish of the day...

And it was MY lucky day because I was holding Clara and couldn't fish, so I got to take loads of pictures!

We also thought we were pretty lucky to see 3 geese laying on their nests! When we would drive the boat by, they would not move a muscle! This goose stayed in this position the entire time we were watching it...

Here's our little lady with her wind-blown crazy curls :)

We stayed at the river so long, we had to go straight to t-ball practice. Reece has his first game on Monday! He's so excited!

Whew! Busy day! I loved EVERY SINGLE minute!

Easter

We had a beautiful Easter today!
Last night we dyed our eggs. Reece really enjoyed it! He got pretty serious about it and had to let each egg soak until it was the "perfect color."

The Easter Bunny visited our house last night. He gave Reece his own lantern/spotlight, and he gave Clara a few books and a bunny. We have SOOO much candy from Easter parties and family so the Easter bunny didn't think he needed to put MORE candy in the eggs in Reece's basket, so he put a quarter in each of Reece's eggs. That was a huge hit! Reece thought that was just the BEST! :)
Reece hunted eggs in our yard this morning...

My sweet little family...
Reece had a great time hunting eggs with Brenton and Aiden. He ditched his Easter basket and used this little camo bag instead. He could run faster with this. Egg hunting is serious business and requires all the proper gear!
Counting his finds...

And our sweet baby girl in her Easter dress! She was SO FANCY!!!
