wonderful warm weekend

We had a great weekend....didn't do anything exciting, but that's just the way I like it. If only the weekend would last a little longer! :)
Sweet babies in the bath!

Tucker was asleep in the living room and Aaron found him like this.  Clara had covered him up. She's such a little mother hen:)
Clara cracks us up all the time. She brought her monkey out and sat him on the porch so he could watch us play baseball:)
Yay!  We noticed the first little sign of sping in our yard today!
We got all signed up for baseball and Reece is SO excited! They have been in the yard almost every evening practicing!  I'm excited too!  I love going to the games and practices!
Just a silly picture of our silly boy!  Clara was sick on Monday and Tuesday and Reece was sick on Wednesday and Thursday.  I was so glad to see them back to normal this weekend!  Hopefully the winter sickness has left our house! :)
Reece and Aaron also went fishing this weekend! Reece caught a nice bass!  Not quite long enough to keep, but he sure was proud of it!:)  He said he caught the "big fish" of the day!

catching up

I have been a terrible blogger lately.  The whole reason I started this blog was to keep a "journal" of all the things we do.  I LOVE looking back and seeing how my kids have grown and some of the fun things we have done.  During the school year, opening my computer is one of the last things I want to do when I'm at home, but I'm going to do better! My kids are growing up WAAAYYY too fast and I know someday these posts will be so fun to look at. So, here's a little catch-up post:)

We celebrated Christmas.

This girl developed a love for monkeys (and all animals)

We have had LOTS of snow days!  Great for teachers in the winter...terrible for teachers when June rolls around!:)

 I turned 30!!!
Not only does she love monkeys, she is a monkey!

 LOVE!
Clara loves  dress-up...as you can see, she piles it on:)
 Baking cookies

I LOVE these little dresses.  I have always been a little hesitant to sew clothing, but these are pretty easy to make and super cute.  Clara loves when I make her something new.

 My sweet blue-eyed boy.

And we celebrated Clara's 2nd birthday!  Since she loves monkeys so much, we had to have a monkey party.  Monkeys say ooo-ooo-aahh-aahh, so Clara calls her monkeys aahh-aahh's.

She had so much fun at her party!  She is still singing "happy birthday!"

just enjoying time

There is nothing I enjoy more than my days at home with my kids. Our first week of Christmas break was awful! All four of us passed around the stomach bug and it wasn't fun at all! So we are trying to make the most of this week:) We haven't done anything exciting.  Just enjoying our time!

Clara has become obsessed with animals-mainly Tucker and monkeys. They are her favorite! I think I'm gonna have a monkey birthday party for her!  I'm already making some plans!

 "Look! An airplane!"
 "Where's it going?"
 "Bye, bye!"

this and that

We had the best Thanksgiving! Very relaxing!  Usually I decorate my house for Christmas after Thanksgiving, but this year I did it the weekend before, so I got all 5 days of my Thanksgiving break to be lazy and enjoy the decorations:)

Clara got to spend time with her beloved Uncle Kent over Thanksgiving! Then, he brought his real girlfriend over the next day.  She did not move a muscle and just stared at her for about 10 minutes.  Clara was not happy about her Uncle Kent being with another girl:)
Clara has started talking SO much lately!  She asks to "draw" a lot.  She even "decorated" my barstools! Thank goodness for Mr. Clean magic erasers!
Our cute little Indian at the kindergarten Thanksgiving meal....
Reece had grandparent's day a few weeks ago.  He had 6 grandparents join him for lunch at school!
I love this picture!
Clara and Reece love popcorn.  They have it every single day for a snack. :)
Well, you can't be a fancy princess all the time. Sometimes a girl just needs to dig in the dirt with her brother! Oh, this girl cracks me up!

Sitting in a bowl while mommy cooks supper:)
And last, but not least...everyone always comments on how long and pretty Clara's hair is.  Well, the only bad part about having lots of long hair when you're one, is this...
This is how Clara looks most mornings when she wakes up!  Oh my!

Rainy Days

Last week, it rained for the first time in, what seemed like, forever! We were so happy to have some rain and relief from the heat!  As soon as we got home Reece wanted to play in the rain.  We told him to 'have at it!' And he did! :)
He asked if he could lay down in the puddle. He was SO excited when I told him yes :)
Clara even enjoyed the rain:)
I spent part of today clearing out clothes that are too small and getting out some fall clothes for Reece and Clara.  I am offically ready for cool fall weather! :)
