D day started out with some donuts!
As you can see, Clara has it pretty rough. All the sitting on mom's hip and eating donuts can wear a girl out!
One of the reasons I have loved doing letter of the day is that we have not watched any TV during the day. We have enjoyed each other so much more. It has been so fun. Well, today, I made an exception and turned the TV on CMT so we could Dance for the letter D!
This picture is not the greatest, but Clara was dancing her little heart out right next to Reece!
We made a dinosaur land.
We ate hot dogs and Doritos.
After lunch we went to the dollar store and Reece got to pick out something for a dollar. He picked out a sword that lights up and he loves it!
Then we went to this pond to feed the Ducks. I had heard that there were lots of ducks here, but I had NO idea! OH MY! They were obviously used to people coming to feed them. They started running up to the truck before we had even parked. They surrounded the truck and were not scared at all when we got out! They would eat right out of your hand. Reece LOVED it! He didn't want to leave, but we were out of food.
There were ducks, geese, and even swans! We tried counting them, and I think there were close to 50!
Clara loved the ducks too!
She stood there the whole time waving and saying, "hi du, hi du, hi du" (hi ducks)
When we got home we used dice to play addition with dots.
I have these 2 flower pots with no flowers in them. (thanks to a sweet little puppy who decided to "pick" some flowers for me) So Reece and Clara got to dig in the dirt! Reece could have done it for hours and Clara was right there by him. They had to go straight to the bath!
This picture does not do it justice, but she was a MESS! She had dirt everywhere! Even her mouth!
