I LOVE my little boy!

Our sweet little Reece was officially registered for kindergarten this week. I cannot believe he will be in kindergarten next year! It's gonna be so fun to see him there everyday!

A little story: Last fall, I had a bowl of pinecones as a decoration in our house. Anytime Reece would see a pinecone at Nana's work house, he would keep it for me and we would add it to the bowl. We put the pinecones away after Christmas. The other day when we picked Reece up, he had a big collection of "new decorations" for me. It just melts my heart that while he is busy playing with is friends he is sweet enough to think of his momma and collect some decorations for me. He got leaves, pine needles, pinecones, and some neat sticks. We put them in a sack and brought them home. I put them all in a bowl, and I think I have a BEAUTIFUL new centerpiece for my table. And I love it even more because every piece was picked by Reece.

Pretty, huh?

Lots and lots of snow!

Thursday night it began snowing and snowed all day yesterday. We have about 9 or 10 inches! I am so glad that my job allows me to stay at home with my kids on snow days! I love snow days!

Of course Reece rode his four wheeler!

Then Clara was watching Reece play in the snow on the back porch. He started throwing snowballs at her through the window. She was cracking up! It was so funny!

She adores Reece. He is such a good big brother!

Yesterday I made another thing for Clara's birthday party. I had to find 3 boxes that were proportionate to each other to make a "cake." It's going to have cupcakes stacked on it. When I was trying to figure out which boxes worked the best together, Clara started climbing all over the boxes. I'm telling you, this girl has no fear! She would climb up on them and climb from one to the other. She was so proud of herself!

And here's the final product...boxes from the garage and school, wrapped in pink paper and some ribbon... I'll stack cupcakes on it and we'll have a cupcake tower!

A Little Party Prep

I LOVE parties! I have always loved getting Reece's birthday parties together. All the cute little details are so fun for me. I have loved all of Reece's boy-theme parties-baseball, fourwheelers, motorcycles, construction, farm. Now, I am so excited to throw a totally frilly, girlie, pink party! I think Clara's first birthday is gonna be so cute! Here are a couple of things I made this weekend...just a little sneak peak...lots more to come!

We are having cupcakes for Clara's party. I got a cupcake decorating kit yesterday and had to try it out. I just played around making some fun designs. The D is for daddy, M for momma, C for Clara and R for Reece. I even gave Clara a little taste and her world changed forever!:)

Here's Clara's party dress...I used material from my maternity shirts that I wore when I was pregnant with her. I think it turned out pretty cute :)

We had to play dress-up and try it on.

Clara officially figured out how to walk on Friday night! She was so proud! She's getting better and better!
I think she likes it!

And party favors...footprint magnets...I made these for Reece's first birthday with a blue footprint. Here are Clara's sweet pink footprints...I just love them!

Christmas 2009 Ornaments

Each year I get and new ornament for our family and a new ornament for Reece and now an ornament for Clara. Some day a VVVEEERRRYYY long time from now when they have thier own tree I want to give them all of the ornaments I collected for them through the years. So far, I have tried to get ornaments that make me think of Reece for that particular year. For example, one year he got a bear ornament because I always called him my little bear. One year he got a big buck ornament because that was the year he really got into hunting. Last year he got a snow globe ornament because he loved snow globes. This year he got a cute little Santa. He is so excited about Santa this year and has lots of questions about him. I even told him about the time the REAL Santa came to my house when I was a little girl, and I got to watch him put presents under my tree. Did you know I remembered that, momma?
Isn't this little Santa cute!

and here is Clara's ornament for this year:
